Description
The Nemrut Crater Lake has vegetation that is very interesting for birdwatching. However, there is the brown bear (Ursus arctos) that needs to be take into account. This is an ex-breeding habitat of the Турпан. In the area you can see several steppe species as well once the snow has melted in spring. Among the birds you can encounter are Кеклик кремовогорлий, Куріпка сіра, Вівсянка садова, Скеляр строкатий, Сорокопуд чорнолобий, Повзик скельний, Crimson-winged Finch, Канюк степовий and Кам’янка чорношия.

You can reach the area best by car. It is close to Tatvan district of Bitlis. You can find accommodation in Tatvan which is close to the area. There is no public transport to reach the lake area. Click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates.
