Description
Beeston and Sheringham Commons is a good area for wildflowers, insects, reptiles and birds. The various habitats provide for a variety of birds - over 200 species have been seen. Can even be seabirds such as Сула атлантична or Буревісник кочівний blown inshore. More frequently there will be warblers, Трав'янка чорноголова, Дрімлюга звичайний, Канюк звичайний, Сапсан, Підсоколик великий and many waders such as Баранець звичайний, Баранець малий, Сивка морська, Сивка звичайна, Чайка чубата and Коловодник великий. Widfowl including Лебідь-кликун, Лебідь чорнодзьобий, Свищ євразійський, Шилохвіст, Чирянка мала on the ponds in winter. Many areas are damp and stout boots are advised.
There are many butterfly and dragonfly species, and wildflowers such as brooklime, orchids and speedwell.

Access
Entry to the area is from a layby on the A149 coast road, just east of Sheringham. Click on the P in the map to get directions. Buses stop here and there is a train station in Sheringham. The walk route shown is about 3 km.
