Description
Blashford Lakes is a good place for birdwatching, as it has a large amount of bird species there. Blashford Lakes is a great place for observing overwintering birds such as Бугай водяний, Сутора вусата, або синиця вусата and Чепура велика . The more regular species of this reserve include, a breeding colony of Ластівка берегова, breeding Рибалочка блакитний and Пірникоза велика. On the lakes you can also spot wintering wildfowl such as Гоголь зеленоголовий and Крех великий.

Access
Blasford Lakes is between Poulner and Verwood ( which are both small towns ), and is easily accessed from both of these locations. If you go to Blashford the carpark for the reserve is in the education centre on the southside of Ellingham road.
