Description
Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Свищ євразійський, Чирянка мала and Широконіска північна in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Гоголь зеленоголовий. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Коловодник звичайний, Кулик-сорока and Пісочник малий in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of Очеретянка ставкова, Очеретянка лучна and Очеретянка середземноморська, Зозуля звичайна and Пастушок. Підсоколик великий are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Побережник болотяний and Побережник арктичний, Плавунець плоскодзьобий, Крутиголовка звичайна and Сорокопуд червоноголовий.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
