Broom Lakes are former gravel pits that have become a nice habitat with pools and wet meadows that are interesting for many water birds and waders. When you walk around Broom Lakes you can - depending on the season - see good numbers of duck, including Галагаз євразійський, Чирянка мала, Свищ євразійський, Чернь чубата, Нерозень and Крижень. Both Пірникоза велика and Пірникоза мала are often seen. Other birds that can be seen here include Крячок річковий, Пісочник малий, Пісочник великий, Кулик-сорока, Чайка чубата, Коловодник звичайний, Крех великий, Вівсянка очеретяна, Вівсянка звичайна, Шуліка рудий, Канюк звичайний and Боривітер звичайний.
