The brickworks only closed in the 1980’s and since then the buildings were cleared with just concrete foundations and a brick wharf giving any hint to the history of this site. Соловейко західний and Горлиця звичайна can be heard, and a colony of Мартин середземноморський are usually found nesting offshore on Fowley Island. Among the other birds you can encounter in the area are Кропив’янка прудка, Казарка чорна, Галагаз євразійський, Зозуля звичайна, Крех середній, Чоботар синьоногий, Кулик-сорока, Сивка морська, Чайка чубата, Кульон великий, Побережник чорногрудий and Грицик великий.
