Cors Ddyga and Malltraeth Marsh is one of the largest lowland wetlands in Wales with lakes, ponds, ditches, reedbeds and grasslands. The grassland supports one of the largest colonies of Чайка чубата in Wales. The area contains also Баранець звичайний, Пастушок, Кобилочка-цвіркун, Чепура велика, Мала біла чапля and varied raptors - Боривітер звичайний, Підсоколик малий, Підсоколик великий, Лунь очеретяний, Сапсан, Канюк звичайний, Шуліка рудий, Сова болотяна, Скопа and Крук звичайний. Easy access from the A5 or A55 roads. Cycling is a very effective way of getting around the narrow lanes that crisscross the reserve. Nearest bus stop is at Pentre Beirw near the RSPB reserve. The reserve entrance is at the west end of Caerau Street but there does not appear to be car parking here. Note: Much of the reserve floods in winter.
