Description
The area around Errwood Reservoir is a good site for many upland woodland species such as Мухоловка строката, Горихвістка звичайна, Щеврик лісовий and Мухоловка сіра and the best time to visit is in spring when the birds are in song. Вівчарик жовтобровий is also present some years. Набережник палеарктичний, Пісочник малий and Мандаринка can be found around the southern end of the reservoir itself and Куріпка біла and Кульон великий are common on the surrounding moors. Пронурок біловолий and Плиска гірська inhabit the stream to the south of the reservoir and several species of raptor can often be seen in flight over the valley.

Access
There is a fairly large car park in the south west corner of Errwood Reservior and from there you can take the paths and road to the south through the woods and along the riversdie path.
