At Ewelme the overgrown watercress beds provide shelter for rodents, which in turn attracts bird predators such as Сипуха, Шуліка рудий, 3 egret species and Чапля сіра. Smaller birds include Зеленяк звичайний, Щиглик звичайний, Кропив’янка чорноголова and Вівсянка очеретяна, pursued by Яструб малий. King's Pool may have Рибалочка блакитний, Пірникоза мала, Водяна курочка, Чернь чубата and Лиска звичайна.

Access
From Oxford take A423 south for 12 miles then minor road left through Benson. There is no car park at the Watercress beds but onstreet parking in the village centre, plus car park near playground. Reserve access is free and unrestricted. Visitor centre admission £3, restricted hours.
