Description
Frenchman's Rocks is a useful seawatch point in late summer and early autumn, best when a SW or NW wind is blowing. Best views are from the hill next to Wavegen Power Station, called Rubha na Faing on the Ordnance Survey map. There is a car park at Claddach near Currie Sands beach.
Birds to see are Чернь морська, Синьга, Гагара полярна, Гагара чорношия, Гагара червоношия, Буревісник сивий, Буревісник малий, Balearic Shearwater, Качурка північна, Поморник великий, Поморник середній, Поморник короткохвостий, Крячок полярний, Мартин вилохвостий, Мартин трипалий, Грицик малий, Щеврик острівний, Крем’яшник звичайний and Побережник морський.
