Hartsholme Country Park has Victorian landscaped gardens, a large reservoir, woodlands and grasslands. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are all 3 species of woodpecker that are found in Britain and Широконіска північна, Чернь чубата, Крех великий, Мала біла чапля, Рибалочка блакитний, Ополовник звичайний, або синиця довгохвоста, Золотомушка жовточуба, Повзик звичайний and Щиглик звичайний.

Hartsholme Country Park is on walking distance from the city center. There is also a regular bus service from the City Bus Station. If you arrive by car you can park next to the Visitor Centre. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The Visitor Centre has exhibitions and interactive features on the wildlife and history of Hartsholme Country Park and neighbouring Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve.
