Hooks Links is named after its previous usage as a nine-hole golf course. Shingle coast with lots of waders. Behind the beach mud flats, reed beds and scapes with gorse and meander pools. Good for waders, Мала біла чапля, Кам’янка звичайна, Жовта плиска and Трав’янка лучна. Сутора вусата, або синиця вусата are regularly seen, also Кропив’янка прованська. Look in the sea for Пухівка зеленошия, Common scotter and divers. But many more birds, see the extended list below.

Access
Park on road just south of Maritime college. Numerous footpaths to the beach which take you past reed beds. See the suggested route (4,5 km) on the map below. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking area.
