Description
At the heart of the old gravel pits near Little Marlow lies Spade Oak Nature Reserve, which features a lake surrounded by diverse habitats including open water, scrub, and woodland. You might see Чайка чубата, Гуска сіра, Казарка канадська, Свищ євразійський, Чирянка мала, Крижень, Широконіска північна, Попелюх звичайний and Чернь чубата. The lake is a haven for waterfowl, and you may spot various gulls and waders. Other notable species: Рибалочка блакитний, Пірникоза велика, Баклан великий and Чапля сіра. Woodland birds: the surrounding woods and scrubland attract species like Зелений дятел, Дятел звичайний and various warblers.

Little Marlow Gravel Pit is located in Buckinghamshire, near the village of Little Marlow. The site is easily accessible, with paths around the lake (2,7 km) and surrounding areas. There is a free car park if you drive past the Spade Oak Pub. Press P on the map for directions to the parking.
