Description
On the islands of Loch Maree Islands National Nature Reserve Гагара червоношия and Гагара чорношия nest. Скопа, Орлан-білохвіст, Беркут, Сапсан, Лунь польовий, Канюк звичайний and Крук звичайний may be seen overhead. Шишкар ялиновий, woodpeckers, Слуква лісова, Вівчарик жовтобровий, Мухоловка строката and Повзик звичайний in the woods. Perhaps Омелюх звичайний in winter. Pine marten are fairly common in the area and may visit the feeders in the car parks. Red deer, roe deer and red squirrels, possibly wild cat.

There are several parking spots along the main road. The site is 60 miles west of Inverness and 105 miles north of Fort William. Boat trips available from the Maree Hotel.
