Malham Cove is a regular nest site for Сапсан, Ластівка міська, Сич хатній, Горихвістка звичайна and Кам’янка звичайна. RSPB volunteers with telescope in attendance. Malham Tarn is a National Nature Reserve and SSSI. There are breeding Коловодник звичайний, Жовта плиска, Плиска гірська, Пронурок біловолий, Чайка чубата, Набережник палеарктичний and water voles. Possibility of Хрустан євразійський in autumn and Пуночка снігова in winter.

Access
Malham is a short way north of the A65 transpennine road from Lancaster to Skipton. There is no car parking at the Cove, park in Malham village and walk or cycle up. For Malham tarn, leave Malham northward on Cove road and turn right at crossroads.
