Mere Sands Wood is a Lancashire Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve. If you take a seat in one of the lakeside hides you may see Пірникоза велика performing their elaborate courtship ritual. Рибалочка блакитний are present as well as wintering Бугай водяний. The lakes and reedbeds also support Пастушок, Вівсянка очеретяна, Гоголь зеленоголовий, Попелюх звичайний and more.There are multiple hides, and it's easy walking.
