Description
The Moor Green Lakes Nature Reserve occupies 36 hectares north of the River Blackwater. A footpath runs along much of the River Blackwater and provides reasonable, but sometimes distant, views of the lakes. There are 2 hides on the reserve providing good views of the lakes. Resident birds are Пірникоза мала, Пірникоза велика, Мала біла чапля, Яструб малий, Чайка чубата, Сич хатній, Рибалочка блакитний, Вівсянка очеретяна, Снігур звичайний and Шуліка рудий. Summer visitors are Пісочник малий, Мартин звичайний, Крячок річковий and Підсоколик великий. In winter you can expect Крех великий, Гоголь зеленоголовий, Крех малий, Плиска гірська and sometimes Сова болотяна. During migration birds like Чирянка велика, Скопа, Лунь очеретяний and Коловодник великий can sometimes be spotted.

At the western end, there is a small car park off Lower Sandhurst Road (SU 805 628), and at the eastern end, the Activity Centre car-park off Mill Lane (SU 821 620).
