Description
The main areas of interest are;
1. Gamber Meadows - reedbed, river and rushy swamp. Access from St Weonards, see map. May have Рибалочка блакитний, Баранець звичайний, Яструб малий, Жовта плиска, Сіра сова, Вівсянка очеретяна and Очеретянка ставкова.
2. Pencoyd fishing and irrigation pools. Park at Pencoyd church. May have Зелений дятел, Дятел звичайний, Плиска гірська, Дрізд-омелюх, Трав'янка чорноголова, Кропив’янка сіра, Кропив’янка чорноголова, Чапля сіра, Канюк звичайний, Боривітер звичайний and Крук звичайний.
3. Apple orchards north of Michaelchurch. 100's of Чикотень and Дрізд білобровий in winter.
4. Stubble fields, field margins sown for pheasants etc - attract flocks of Жайворонок польовий, Коноплянка, Чиж лісовий, Галка звичайна and occasional Чечітка мала and В’юрок in late autumn. Шуліка рудий and Крук звичайний.
Mammals in the area include roe and muntjac deer, hare, red fox and badger.

Access
St Weonards is midway between Hereford and Monmouth on the A466. Buses every two hours from either town. Parking opposite the school then walk through churchyard. Please do not park by the church, as this obstructs farmer's machinery. The circular route from St Weonards is about 5 km.
Pencoed and Michaelchurch are near Harewood End on the A49 Hereford-Ross road. Buses are hourly from either town. The circular route from Pencoyd church is about 3 km.
