Description
Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has Бугай водяний that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a Ластівка берегова colony on the river Crigyll, plus Вівсянка очеретяна, Очеретянка ставкова, Очеретянка лучна, Кобилочка-цвіркун, Трав'янка чорноголова and Жайворонок польовий. In winter Широконіска північна, Свищ євразійський, Чирянка мала and Шилохвіст. Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
