Description
The cliffs themselves and the surrounding chalk grasslands make a unique habitat found in few other places, while the proximity to the continent makes it a popular resting spot for rarities from across the channel. Nesting birds can include Сапсан, Крук звичайний, Буревісник кочівний and even Мартин трипалий. Divers and auks can be seen off the coast in winter, and it is not unusual for rarities to appear: Крутиголовка звичайна, Вівчарик золотомушковий, Дрізд гірський and the occasional shrike.
