Description

Beus Pond is surrounded by a half‑mile paved trail that is flat and easy to walk. Ducks love to gather here and Wood Duck winter here. The area has a playground and picnic tables and its surrounded by many trees for shade and open grassy area for field games. The pond’s mix of water, trees, and open space attracts a wide variety of species year‑round. Birds you can observe include Wood Duck, Canada Goose, Gadwall, Black-chinned Hummingbird, California Gull, Western Screech-Owl, Belted Kingfisher, Downy Woodpecker, Warbling Vireo, Black-billed Magpie and Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay.

Beus Pond is located in south Ogden and free to visit. There is a parking lot in the north side of the park. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. You can walk around the trail which can take about 15-20 minutes.
