Description
Get up early with high tide, before the dogwalkers appear, and the beach will have plenty of birds in easy reach of a short stroll. Poyrazkuşu, Kervançulluğu, Gri balýkçýl and Kızılbacak are all likely on the beach around the waterline. Tasçeviren, Leş kargası and Ak Kuyruksallayan ssp yarrellii may be more likely on exposed seaweed or flotsam around the tide mark. Ekin kargası is also possible. Tepeli Karabatak is most likely hauled out on rocky outcrops, although Karabatak is becoming more common in recent times. Karabağ martı is common with occasional Akdeniz Martısı. Pufla and Yeşilbaş are likely in the water.
For a slightly longer walk a path goes along the cliffs at the north end of the bay where kaya incirkuşu, Taşkuşu and Kırmızıgagalı dağkargası could be encountered.
