The Foix Delta is located in Cubelles, Barcelona province. In its final stretch the Foix river runs through a heavily urbanized area. During spring and autumn, the river mouth is a good place to observe passerine migratory bird species like Kizil kirlangici , Bıyıklı Ötleğen , Kara sinekkapan , Saz Kamışçını , Kızıl Başlı Örümcekkuşu , and also shorebirds like Yeşil düdükçün , Kızılbacak , Yeşilbacak , or Halkalı cılıbıt. Akça cılıbıt is one of the most iconic species. Other interesting species that occur are Alaca Balikçil , Erguvani balýkçýl , and Su kılavuzu.
The following species are present all year round: Yelpaze Kuyruk , Kamış Bülbülü , and Maskeli Ötleğen. Seabirds can also be observed resting or bathing in the lagoon, notably Akdeniz Martısı , Karagagalı Sumru , and Ada Martısı. At sea, notable species can be observed such as Balear Yelkovanı , Yelkovan , Atlantik boz yelkovani , and Sümsükkuþu.

The Foix Delta is located in the town of Cubelles, about 50 km west of Barcelona. The area can be reached by car, and it is easy to park in the Municipal Sports Centre. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. Public transport: Getting there by train is easy. The train station of Cubelles (1) is on walking distance (500m) of the Foix Delta. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1,5 km.
