Description
Edremit Marshes is a bird paradise with high amount of Dikkuyruk (more than 150 individuals in spring). This endangered species is easy to see here especially in spring. Also, other waterfowls such as Elmabaş patka are close to shore in this small wetland. Among the other birds you can spot in the area are Sakarmeke, Yeşilbaş, Macar ördeği, Uzunbacak, Kılıçgaga, Karabaş patka and Boz ördek.

Edremit Marshes are easy to reach by car, public transport etc. It is close to Van city, just south of the airport. Walking is the easy way to explore the area. There are also several parking areas. Click on a P in the map to get directions or coordinates.
