Description
You can drive around Lake Ladik easily. It is a nice place to do birding because there are forests, gardens, meadows, a lake, mud flats, reed beds, etc. During spring migration, you can see thousands of Kır kırlangıcı and Kum kırlangıcı on the lake site. Ak pelikan can be seen there, too. Pasbaş Patka is another species highlighted here. Yeşil Ağaçkakan and Sığır balıkçılı can be seen around the lake. Akkuyruklu kartal and Karabatak, which also can be observed, are typical birds in such wetlands in Turkey.

Access
You can go explore the Lake Ladik area by car. It is close to the main roads. There is one main road passing through from southern part of the lake. It is possibe to drive around the lake site by village roads. Zoom in on the map and click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates.
