Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu Barajı is a big artificial lake directly to the east of Denizli. Many water birds are attracted to the area. Among the birds you can see on and around the reservoir are Leylek, Küçük batağan, Küçük ak balýkçýl, Altın yağmurcun, Gümüş yağmurcun, Tasçeviren, Kızkuşu, Mahmuzlu Kızkuşu, Halkalı cılıbıt, Küçük halkalı cılıbıt, Çıkrıkçın, Fiyu, Macar ördeği, Tepeli patka, Pasbaş Patka and Flamingo.
