Description
Buckshaw Wood is an area of ancient woodland with diverse trees, birds and wildlife. The area has a big breeding colony of Ekin kargası in nesting season. Other birds you can observe include Uzunkuyruklu baştankara, Mavi Baştankara, Büyük baþtankara, Çam baştankarası, Serçe, Ağaç serçesi, Ev kırlangıcı, Küçük Ak Gerdanlı Ötleğen, Küçük ağaçkakan, Orman tırmaşıkkuşu, Çıvgın, Çitkuşu, Ökse ardıcı and Öter ardıç.

Buckshaw Wood is located in the middle of Buckshaw Village. Parking available in surrounding streets. Press P on the map for directions. Allow up to an hour or 90 minutes if birdwatching. There are well trodden, marked and signposted paths upon visiting. The area is poorly marked on online maps.
