There are many birds in Hinksey Lake, and many nesting. It is next to Hinksey Park and is popular during summer for fisherman and swimmers. Sumru breed on floating platforms in large numbers. Sakarmeke, Bahri, Kuğu, Tepeli patka also breed in the area. Karabaş patka was seen here once.

Access
Hinksey Lake is located in the south of the city. The site is a 10 minutes drive from Oxford city center. Park at South Oxford Community Center if possible and view from Devil's Backbone bridge.
