Description
NWT Ranworth Broad is accessible to all and boasts a great visitor centre (which is open in the spring and summer) with wide views over Ranworth Broad. The broad (lake) itself offers chances to see Bahri, Yalıçapkını and Saz delicesi throughout the year, while the boardwalk trail supports Kayın Baştankarası, Şakrak and Su kılavuzu may also be heard.
In winter, the broad will be busy with feeding wildfowl including Fiyu, Çamurcun, Kaşıkgaga, Kilkuyruk and a few Tepeli patka. In periods of harsh weather, Balaban, Karabaş patka and other scarcer species may be seen. The alder trees on the trail from the car park may hold good numbers of Karabaşlı iskete and Küçük Huş İsketesi.
In summer, there is a chance of seeing a flyover Balık kartalı, but more likely, there will be plenty of Sumru feeding over the broad. Large gatherings of Kır kırlangıcı, Ev kırlangıcı and Kum kırlangıcı may also be seen. Listen out for the songs of Çıvgın, Kındıra kamışçını, Saz Kamışçını and even a Guguk along the boardwalk trail.
