Description
The main areas of interest are;
1. Gamber Meadows - reedbed, river and rushy swamp. Access from St Weonards, see map. May have Yalıçapkını, Su çulluğu, Atmaca, Sarý kuyruksallayan, Alaca Baykuş, Bataklık kirazkuşu and Saz Kamışçını.
2. Pencoyd fishing and irrigation pools. Park at Pencoyd church. May have Yeşil Ağaçkakan, Orman alaca ağaçkakanı, Dağ kuyruksallayanı, Ökse ardıcı, Taşkuşu, Akgerdanlı ötleğen, Karabağlı ötleğen, Gri balýkçýl, Şahin, Kerkenez and Kuzgun.
3. Apple orchards north of Michaelchurch. 100's of Tarla ardıcı and Kızıl ardıç in winter.
4. Stubble fields, field margins sown for pheasants etc - attract flocks of Tarlakuşu, Ketenkuşu, Karabaşlı iskete, Küçük karga and occasional Küçük Huş İsketesi and Dağ ispinozu in late autumn. Kızıl Çaylak and Kuzgun.
Mammals in the area include roe and muntjac deer, hare, red fox and badger.

Access
St Weonards is midway between Hereford and Monmouth on the A466. Buses every two hours from either town. Parking opposite the school then walk through churchyard. Please do not park by the church, as this obstructs farmer's machinery. The circular route from St Weonards is about 5 km.
Pencoed and Michaelchurch are near Harewood End on the A49 Hereford-Ross road. Buses are hourly from either town. The circular route from Pencoyd church is about 3 km.
