Extra info

Although there is a well maintained trail to the pond it is often productive to spend time on the numerous informal paths accessible from the main trail. The trail can be converted to a loop trail by taking a somewhat obscure informal cut through at the corner of the loop around the pond nearest the parking lot.

The park is located in residential housing but is very close to coastal wetlands, the Tchefuncte River and other ponds. Lisening for Limpkin and watching for flyovers can produce good observations.
