Description

Steep-sided valley without flowing water that opens out onto a slope that descends to farmland and Vedi village.

Details

Access

Take M-2 south from Yerevan, then H-10 west to Vedi. Local road north from village, then unmade track. Last mile on foot, checking for birds all the time.

The countryside is used for sheep grazing. Flocks are accompanied by dogs, for protection, which can be threatening and frightening. Possession of ultrasonic dog repellers is recommended. Knowledgeable Armenian guides are recommended but not essential.
