From the WA Tourism site: "Harding River Dam provides a perfect location for a relaxing day out. Explore parts of the dam on foot to see the native flora and fauna that inhabit the area and take advantage of the stunning scenic views from the lookout, out across the water.
Built in 1985 the dam provides drinking water for Roebourne and the surrounding towns. Toilet facilities and running water is available at the dam, however there are no camping facilities.
Take advantage of the free barbecues or bring along a picnic lunch and soak up the peaceful surroundings under the gazebos. The dam is a 20 minute drive south of Roebourne, near Karratha which is linked by flights which take two hours from Perth".
