Description

The Thayatal is an impressive valley with steep cliffs and gentle meadows, natural forests and a many birds. From the Überstieg overlooking the Thaya valley some of the rarest and most impressive birds (White-tailed Eagle, Black Stork, Eurasian Hobby and Peregrine Falcon) in the National Park Thayatal area can be watched.

Access

This viewpoint is accessible from either the National park´s visitor centre by a 1.5 hour walk or from the Feste Kaja, an old castle ruin (40 min. walk). Click on the P on the map to go to the parking place of your choice.
