Description
The Molse zandputten (sand pits) with the De Maat nature reserve is a nature reserve with a great diversity of landscapes. From dry to soggy from acidic to calcareous. A mosaic of hay meadows, deciduous forests, moors, marshes, fens and ponds with reed collars. It houses a record number of dragonfly species. Also a large number of special bird species such as: Common Kingfisher, Golden Oriole, Bluethroat, Cetti's Warbler, Grey Wagtail and European Honey-buzzard.

Een mozaïek van hooilanden, loofbossen, heidevelden, moerassen, vennen en plassen met rietkragen. Het herbergt een recordaantal libellensoorten. Parking at Den Diel. Coming from Postel just before the canal and the Baley bridge on the left of the road (see the P on the map). From here you can make a circular walk (9,4 km) that is shown on the map.
