Description

Gravière Amay is a wetland of biological interest with a 23 hectare lake over a total area of 44 hectares. The lake has reed beds, gently sloping banks, wooded areas and a walking trail around it. Among the birds you can see are Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Common Sandpiper, Reed Bunting, Reed Warbler, Common Kingfisher, Common Pochard, Northern Shoveler and Tufted Duck.

Access

At the roundabout, near the Ombret bridge, head towards the industrial park. There are parking possibilities along Ponthière Street. The circular trail around the lake is about 2,5 km long and passes an observatory.

Français: Au rond-point, près du pont d'Ombret, prendre vers le zoning industriel. Il y a des possibilités de stationnement le long de la rue Ponthière. Le sentier circulaire autour du lac fait environ 2,5 km de long et passe devant un observatoire.
