Description

Wiels marsh: a natural but accidental body of water (breakthrough of the water table in 2007) in the heart of the urban center where nature has regained its rights after 10 years of abandonment of the site. Important reed bed sheltering the fauna. Nicknamed Marais Wies, it is not strictly speaking a marsh but is home to all the biodiversity that characterizes a marsh. In danger of being built on. Among the birds you can see here are Eurasian Coot, Little Grebe, Reed Warbler, Grey Heron, Common Sandpiper, House Sparrow, Eurasian Moorhen, Mallard, Common Swift, House Martin, Eurasian Blue Tit, Great Tit, Common Chiffchaff, Greater Whitethroat, Egyptian Goose, Wren and Dunnock.
