Small pond near an artificial rock formation. A nice place for easy birding and a chance to see Common Kingfisher.
Bohnický Rybník is a small pond located north of Prague. It is a nice and romantic place with a rock and a beautiful pond. Among the birds you can see in the area are Common Cuckoo, Golden Oriole, Grey Wagtail, Common Kingfisher, Wren, Eurasian Jay, Eurasian Wryneck and Great Spotted Woodpecker.
As there is a small road next to the pond, you can go here by car, bicycle or on foot. You can also park directly at the pond. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
Sometimes, even in winter, people bathe in the pond.
