Large fishpond (258 ha) with extensive reeds and adjacent waterlogged meadows in the floodplain of the river Cidlina.
The area is accessible only on public roads. It is forbidden to enter reeds and meadows especially during the breeding season.The area is an important nesting site for Little Bittern , Great Bittern , Little Crake , Spotted Crake , Common Crane , Western Yellow Wagtail, Meadow Pipit , Bluethroat , Great Reed Warbler , Savi's Warbler , Bearded Tit and other bird species that occur in wetland habitats.
During the migration, the pond is an important habitat especially for Greylag Goose , Tundra Bean Goose , Greater White-fronted Goose , Common Teal , Northern Pintail , Goosander , White-tailed Eagle and Caspian Gull .
During migration Aquatic Warbler occurs regularly. Significant are roosting places Barn Swallow , Sand Martin and Common Starling , when the largest flocks reach even more than 100,000 ex.
