Selsø

Sjælland  >  Denmark

Selsø is always worth a visit. The bird tower at the south end is misplaced, so continue up to the church. From here you have a really good view.

Description

Selsø is a large, 500-hectare conservation area which is only accessible by foot and which is best viewed from Selsø Church. The land which fringes the lake is amongst the best in Denmark for waterfowl. Many kinds of ducks and geese and White-tailed Eagle all year round. Osprey like to rest here on the move to the south. At the northern end, there are good conditions for all kinds of waders.
