Description

Korva Luht is a meadow and wetland site along the small Emajõgi River. The shallow water and meadows attract hundreds of waders and ducks. The many open fields also provide excellent habitat for geese. The strand by the Emajõgi River is about 5 square kilometres large, of which more than half can be submerged during spring. There is a gravel road with several branches through the area, which makes it very easy and comfortable to observe the birds. Among the interesting birds you can see here are Ruff, Common Greenshank, Northern Pintail, Garganey, Great Snipe, Marsh Sandpiper, Black-tailed Godwit, Spotted Crake and Citrine Wagtail. And of course many ducks and geese.
