Description

Ilveskorvenpuisto is a nice and accessible place for casual urban birding. The pond attracts a variety of duck species in summer and it's possible to see their young there too. You can see Mallard, Common Teal and Goosander. As the summer progresses, some birds make nests on the small island in the middle of the pond. Common Gull and Black-headed Gull are common but sometimes it's possible to see Great Black-backed Gull too. Eurasian Moorhen has been seen at the pond in spring time too and the surrounding bushes provide hiding places for European Robin.
