Description
The Avant-port is a port zone that includes several basins along the river Rhine. It is easy to see the birds from the riverbank. Many Mute Swan and Eurasian Coot with some Mallard and Great Cormorant year-round, and Tufted Duck and Black-headed Gull in winter. During a cold winter, Goosander is sometimes seen.

The Avant-port of Strasbourg is located on the eastern outskirts of Strasbourg, along the Rhine River. Easy to reach by car or bicycle. Press P on the map for directions. Several tram and bus lines run close to the port area.
