Description

Fort d'Illange is a historic fortress that was part of the Maginot Line. The fort is surrounded by a deciduous forest. As you follow the forest trails, the drumming of woodpeckers will guide you to their territory. At the edge of a clearing, watch for Black Kite soaring overhead, scanning for any mouse that might scurry through the tall grass. Along the paths, the flights of damselflies will accompany you on your hike.
