Description

In the heart of the Plaine du Forez on the banks of the Loire lies the Ecopôle du Forez. A great place for birdwatching. Old gravel pits converted into ponds and alluvial forest with trails and hides. There are 5 hides and also a natural reserve exhibition. Guided tours are available. Birds you can see here are Golden Oriole, Common Kingfisher, Little Egret, Black Kite, House Martin, Sand Martin, Common Teal, Red-crested Pochard, Northern Shoveler and Common Pochard.
