Description

Ecopole du Val d'Allier is located on a former quarry along the Allier river. The basins have been redeveloped to create various habitats suitable for avian fauna, ducks of all kinds, water birds, large waders, waders, gulls and rarities that can show up during migration. Among the birds you can encounter are Purple Heron, Squacco Heron, Little Egret, Common Shelduck, Northern Shoveler, Common Kingfisher, Common Tern, Black Tern, Cetti's Warbler and Osprey.

Français: Anciennes gravières renaturalisées, facile d'accès, sentiers découverte, observatoires nombreux, de belles observations tout à long de l'année. Ce site est situé sur une ancienne carrière le long de la rivière Allier, les bassins ont été réamènagés pour créer divers habitats propices à la faune aviaire, canards de toutes sortes, oiseaux d'eau, grands échassiers, limicoles, laridés et des espèces de passage parfois exeptionnelles.

Access

Very easy access by road by car, possibility of parking. Click on the P in the map to get directions. From the parking there are paths to access the observatories, on foot or by bike. Please do not cross the barriers that surround the site to avoid disturbing the fauna, especially during the breeding period.

Français: Accés très facile par la route en voiture, possibilité de se garer facilement puis sentiers pour accèder aux observatoires, à pied ou en vélo pour la voie verte, ne pas franchir les barrières qui ceinture le site pour le pas déranger la faune présente surtou en période de nidification.
