Description

At La Plaine de Sorques birds like Common Kingfisher, Great Cormorant, White Wagtail, Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Coot and many other birds can easily be seen near the two observatories, especially the first. More rarely, White-tailed Eagle or Osprey can be observed on migration. Large groups of waders, ducks and Great Cormorant sometimes gather on the pond.

Français: C'est un plan d'eau assez grand parsemé de petites îles, qui peuvent être submergées l'hiver. On peut voir facilement le Common Kingfisher, le Great Cormorant, la White Wagtail, le Great Crested Grebe, le Eurasian Coot et bien d'autes oiseaux près des deux observatoires, surtout du premier. Plus rarement, on peut observer le White-tailed Eagle ou le Osprey dans leur migration. De grands groupes de limicoles, de canards et de cormorans se forment parfois sur l'étang.

Access

You can park directly at the car park. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. Both observatories are accessible on foot and by bike. Dogs are not allowed in the observatories. The circular walk around the lake shown on the map is about 5 km long.

Français: Vous pouvez vous garer directement au parking, et les deux observatoires sont accessibles à pied et à vélo. Par contre, les chiens ne sont pas acceptés dans les observatoires. La promenade circulaire autour de la zone est d'environ 5 km de long.
