Description

The Arroux is a river in central France and tributary of the Loire. The landscape along the Arroux between the village of Saint-Nizier-sur-Arroux and the hamlet of La Boulaye is one of traditional farmland with hedgerows, fields and bushes. This landscape attracts birds such as Eurasian Hoopoe, Red-backed Shrike, Woodchat Shrike, European Turtle Dove, European Bee-eater, Black Kite, Corn Bunting, Cirl Bunting, Melodious Warbler, Common Nightingale, Eurasian Green Woodpecker and Black Woodpecker. In addition, there's great mammal, reptile/amphibian and butterfly watching.
