Description

Observatoire de l'Ile d'Olonne offers a panoramic view across the Olonne marshes. With more than 180 species of birds spotted, the marshes are one of the richest wetlands in the Vendée in terms of migratory birds. You can observe the many varieties of migratory birds that make a stop in the marshes of l'Ile d'Olonne. Among them Avocet, Black-winged Stilt, Ruff, Common Redshank, Little Egret, Common Shelduck, Cetti's Warbler and many more. Note: you have to pay an entree fee, see the details below.

Français: L'Observatoire d'oiseaux est situé sur une voie migratoire, il offre un panorama exceptionnel pour observer les oiseaux du marais : avocettes, échasses, tadornes, aigrettes. Des guides, passionnés d’ornithologie et équipés de longues vues vous accueillent et vous font partager leurs connaissances. Sorties Migration au printemps et à l'automne. Découvrez les nombreuses variétés d'oiseaux migrateurs qui font étape dans les marais. Billetterie sur place ou réservation sur www.adev-asso.fr.

Access

The observatory is managed by the ADEV (Association for the Defense of the Environment of the Vendée). Volunteer guides welcome you and there are telescopes available. Access to the observatory in July and August, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. From April to October depending on the activity. Admission for adults € 3.50.

Des guides bénévoles vous accueillent et vous permettent d’observer à la longue vues les différentes espèces présentes. Accès à l'observatoire en juillet et août, tous les jours de 9h30 à 12h30 et de 15h30 à 18h30. Observatoire : Adulte € 3,50 Périodes d'ouverture - pub : D'avril à octobre suivant l'activité.
