Description

Pointe de Roche Torin is a natural viewpoint that offers panoramic views over the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. The site is interesting both during migration and in winter. The meadows and mudflats teem with birds. A calm and ideal environment for birding thanks to its paths and open spaces offering good visibility. It is an observation point allowing you to watch birds over a part of the bay that is either entirely mudflats or crisscrossed by waterways, depending on the tides. This wetland provides a suitable habitat for Common Shelduck, Great Cormorant, Black-headed Gull, Common Gull and Little Egret. The meadows and bushes are teeming with passerines like Linnet, Eurasian Skylark, Meadow Pipit, White Wagtail, European Stonechat and Northern Wheatear. The mudflats attract many Eurasian Curlew, Northern Lapwing and Eurasian Spoonbill. You have also a chance to spot Osprey and Eurasian Kestrel. In winter Brent Goose also pass through this place, as do Northern Pintail and Eurasian Teal.
